TopScot.com - The Internet Shopping Mall
(Chanonry Point Ltd.)
We are a group of small traders all working together as one larger trader on the Internet. It is very hard for small companies to match the massive spending on Internet shopping malls by larger companies. 'TopScot.com' is our way. There is one small team at the centre that builds all the Web Sites, for free, for all the small traders. Each of the shops you see on this site is an independent small business. More information on the individuals behind each business can be found on their site. All the shops in the Mall use one central 'secure' web site and payment system. A percentage of all purchases contributes to the cost of buying the hardware and running the site.
TopScot.com (Chanonry Point Ltd.) - The team at the Centre
At the centre of this mall is the husband and wife team of Keith and Carola Martin-Smith.
After many years with Dell Computer Corporation and then with Dixons
Stores Group we decided to have a change of lifestyle and move to the
North of Scotland. Fewer people, even fewer cars and picture
postcard views from the office window. In this area, there is a
wealth of small businesses and like minded people and with a little help
from RACE (Ross and Cromarty Enterprise Board) and Highland Opportunity
Ltd, here we are.
Our other team member is Tony Harmsworth.
Tony is the creator of Scotland-celtic.com. He
has worked in the Highlands for many years helping develop a range of
visitor attractions, particularly around Loch Ness and at Fort Agustus
Abbey. He is also owner of Loch Ness Tours.
Where are we?
All the systems development is done at our office in Fortrose, a village on the Black Isle - a Headland in the North Sea a few miles North East of Inverness. Our office is just a few miles from the the Battlefield of Culloden, Fort George - a massive 18th Century Fortress - and countless romantic Scottish castles. A few miles to the South West is Loch Ness and we hope one day that Nessie will log into our site!
The Future?
When writing this page we have 45 shopping areas on this site and we are currently developing another 18 through our partner Scotland-Celtic. Our goal is to have fifty shops trading on this site within three years. This happened in less than two years. Now can we develop 100 within three years?
We have a very strict policy to prevent Internet fraud and time consuming junk mail. Click the title above for more details.
